4 years is not enough to get one guy into the HoF, but does anyone see a reason why Brady's performance should slip? Any reason why he cannot continue to be as good as he has been?

Nope, no reason. But he hasn't done it yet, so he's not get a sure HoF. Hell, next year he could have a Theismann and be done for his career. Where would he be then?

I would argue that if Brady's career ended sometime next year, he'd stand a pretty fair chance of ending up in the Hall.

Maybe if he wins on Sunday, but if he doesn't I don't think so. I just got up and I was going to respond to that whole Boston fans hate all players who leave post, but you summed it up pretty effectively so I'm just going to give that a thumbs up and move on. As for Ubertrouts post about Nomar going to the Yankees, it doesn't matter where he goes, the eternal image of him will be sulking on the bench and telling the team he was going to need more time off for an injury that miraculously healed when he went to the Cubs. Him going to the Yankees at some point would just be icing on the cake of his own making.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Snake.
I'm basing my prior statement on the Pats winning on Feb 6th as well and with Brady having a good shot at MVP. You simply don't keep a 3 time SB MVP out of the HoF, I don't care what he does with the rest of his career.

I suppose he could be dumb enough to gamble on the Patriots. That would certainly do it.

Tom Brady could have a Roberto Alomar type ending to his career though

Remember when Robbie was a lock for first-ballot HOF'r? How many teams has he played for in the past four years? Did you even remember he still plays? Anything is possible.

Alomar is still probably a HoFer though. 10 Gold Gloves, 12 AS games... unquestionably the best 2B in baseball for a whole decade.

He had a grat run when he was in Toronto. Helped bring the World Series(twice) to Canada. And I know that hurts so much. Although I was only 6/7 when they were on that run. Nonetheless.

He should be a HOF'er, but the last few years (basically since he went to the Mets) definitely put a stain on his career. He'll be a real interesting case when he gets up, I don't think he's necessarily a first ballot guy if there is a strong class that year.

He actually did have a consistent career in terms of offensive output, but like you said Snake, that move to NY really fucked up his chances.

Should Terrell Davis be in the Hall of Fame?

His career was cut short by injury, but the guy was DOMINANT when he was able to play. I dont have capacity to look up career numbers, but having lived through this era I'd vote him into the hall.. I would consider him as good as most of the other RB's in the hall.

Terrell Davis' career stats from NFL.com

77 career starts, 7607 rushing yards, 60 TDs, 4.6 yards per carry, 169 receptions for 1280 receiving yards and 5 TDs

2008 rushing yards and 21 TDs in 1998

Earned Super Bowl MVP honors by rushing for 157 yards and three touchdowns in a win over Green Bay.

In 1998, he became only the fourth back in NFL history to top 2,000 yards, gaining 2,008 to become the league's MVP. He had 468 yards in three postseason games.

Before I looked this up my initial reaction was no, probably because I hate the Broncos and ANYONE can rush for 1200 yards in a season there, but he was the best player at the time on back to back super bowl championship teams.
