I agree. Its rare that when you step back and look at an athletes career who was cut short by injury that he actually looks more impressive which is the case with TD.

I watched the First Broncos super bowl victory NFL's Greates Games last night and his performance in that game is one of the finest displays ever put on by a Running Back in the Super Bowl. He willed that team to victory more than John Elway.. his performace was incredible.

I too hate the Broncos.. but damn, TD was the shit.

I think Art Monk is the Lee Smith of football, he hung around long enough to put up great numbers, but I don't think he was dominant enough to reach the hall.

That might be true, but being the face of a franchise for an era should count for something. Nationally it might not be known, but Skins fans, and Skins players all knew that Monk was the best player on those 80's Redskins. And those were some pretty damn good teams.

Joe Namath already is. Worst stats of any QB in the Hall. His personality and "star" factor from Super Bowl 3 are what got him in. Yea he's a legend..but not soley for his play on the field. Monk retired as the NFl's leading receiver of all time. He wasn't flashy and didnt make headlines or drop catchphrases and sound bites. It's a shame that being such a classy guy is what holds him back.

I agree. Monk was the man.. its a shame hes not in yet. Those 'Skins teams woulda been nowhere without him.. can you (well not YOU MF, as you are from Maryland) name any other Skins recievers from the '80s?

Gary Clark was on those teams wasn't he? (no I didn't get that from the Internet, he was one of the historic players in Madden a couple years ago).

Yes he was #84, a real playmaker. The other wideout was #83 Ricky Sanders. Incredible offense Gibbs put together back in those days. Hopefully we'll get to see it next year.

I like Pat Ramsey a lot more than I like Brunell, and Portis turned it on at the end of last year, if he can keep it going and the defense doesn't drop off they could be a playoff team.

I agree, Ramsey could be a good one if the media doesnt crucify him every time he has a below average game

The Skins line needs some work too. It'll help if Jansen comes back healthy, but they need some interior linemen badly.
